  1. Grizzly Bear’s records on vinyl have always been well produced and well pressed. Besides their vocals, the instruments always sound wonderful with plenty of air and space. The drums sound extra special.

This 2009 UK repress of Grizzly Bear’s first album on Warp Records doesn’t have the stunning SQ of their later albums, but considering that Yellow House (their third album) was a “home made” album — it was recorded at Edward Droste’s mom’s house, at home in Brooklyn and at Chris Taylor’s grandparent’s house — the SQ achieved here is very admirable indeed. It sounded quite wonderfully analogue like, the 45 rpm pressing does give the SQ a much needed boost.
