  1. I bought the 2006 remastered version of The Last Resort on many friends’ recommendations, all commented that this album has top notch SQ. However, when I listen to my copy, I did not jaw-drop. I thought the lower ends were slightly woolly, the top ends wasn’t quite airy and the bass slams wasn’t 100% satisfying.

So I sought out a copy of this 2006 original release with plain cover. The SQ of this release is more like the sound I was looking for and truly impressive!

The copy of the remastered version I bought was in 2014. I could only speculate that in these eight years since the album was released, it must have been repressed many times since this is a very popular album, hence my copy already have deteriorated SQ. Or perhaps I was just unlucky to get a less well pressed one.
