  1. On 7th October 2014, Belle and Sebastian put their entire vinyl catalogue back into print as the It Could Have Been a Brilliant Career series, which spans from 1996’s stunning Tigermilk debut to 2013’s contemporary B-sides and rarities set The Third Eye Centre and includes 10 slabs of wax total.

After being impressed by the SQ of my first purchase from this series — the Rough Trade 2014 UK Dear Catastrophe Waitress, I decided to get this, which I thought was an EU release on Jeepster Recordings. As it turned out, it is the US/CA Matador release with JPR LP 003 crossed-out in the matrixes!

The SQ is warm and spacious with wonderful depths and details, the bass clear and focused. This MPO pressing is also very quiet with very little surface noise. I thought this new reissue sounded clearer with more focused bass, so it replaced my 1998 UK original pressing.
