  1. The SQ of J.S. Ondara’s debut — Tales Of America is quite brilliant! The sound had amazing clarity and spacious.

Eric Boulanger’s mastering is superb, it allows all the instrument to breath and they sounded absolutely gorgeous. He is definitely one to look out for as the work he did for Kaleo’s 2016 US A/B was also brilliant! Of course the real stars here are J.S.’s haunting stark, boyish vocals and beautiful nuances, and his guitars.

It’s such a shame then my copy is quite noisy. American Dream has random crackles on the right speakers, Turkish Bandana has constant light “szhhh” sound on the entire track and elsewhere, random light crackles.

Unfortunately my replacement was even noisier. I later got myself a copy of the EU GZ Media pressing and it was a beautifully quiet copy.

No info on the lacquer cutting and pressing.
