Nonesuch is one of the best US record labels for indie rock music. I love Wilco’s records on Nonesuch, they were produced to the highest standard, usually analogue sounding and very quiet. You can tell Wilco really care about how their sounds and carefully mastered.
Although Sky Blue Sky was given a special half-speed mastering treatment by Stan Ricker, the result was not as impressive as the other three records of Wilco’s I own, nor it sounded as good as those mastered by Miles Showell. When it comes to half-speed mastering, Miles is still the king!
Regardless, this is a very good sounding record indeed.
