  1. Future Islands’ signed to 4AD on their fourth album — Singles. As their first album on 4AD, unfortunately the SQ is not as good as expected on a big label, it is far less impressive than the 2011 US On The Water on Thrill Jockey. It is a nice sounding record but I definitely feel the dynamics could do a big boost. It just feel a tad compressed to me overall. I certainly have heard a bunch of much better sounding records cut by Ray Janos.

The Optimal Media pressing is however well pressed and very quiet.
