  1. I am not a fan of the vinyl releases of the UK label Erased Tape. All the Erased Tape records I have sounded kind of closed and always have annoying surface noise — be it random or continuous loud pops. To name a few — Kiasmos, Nils Frahm, Lubomyr Melnyk, and Michael Price’s Entanglement is the noisiest!

Even this — Rival Console’s Persona, which has Andreas Kauffelt at Schnittstelle, one of the best in the field, to cut for vinyl, I can’t help but feeling that the soundstage is a bit congested! How I wish that to be wide open!

There is a constant light ticks on track C3 Untravel and two loud pops on D2 Hidden! See what I meant!?

However, the overall sound of Persona is actually really good and better than the rest of Erased Tape records I have in my collection.
