  1. On first listening, this Maplewood EP 2000 UK by Ed Harcourt sounded excellent. It was mastered and cut by Miles Showell when he was working for Metropolis Mastering. It was cut really loud (volume not loudness). However, the overall SQ was let down by some very woolly and rolled of bass. I can also hear some distortion but it sounds excellent on lower volumes…

    The pressing by EMI Records is top notch and very quiet.
