  1. Doves’ fourth and album sounded good on vinyl but not exceptional. It is very enjoyable indeed with clear vocals but the dynamic range is just fine and lacking the elements that make the sound exciting. For example, the bass are fine but did not make a great impact. No info on the vinyl pressing or the lacquer cutting.

    Good news is that after nearly nine years in hiatus, today Doves reunited to do a live show at the Parr Hall in Warrington and tomorrow at the Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust show! I hope that means we are going to see a new album from them in the near future.

    There is a rumour saying that the vinyl reissue of Some Cities is currently in the works, I hope that is true and the reissue is for all four Doves album, and a really well done one to do them justice…
