  1. For many years Destroyer’s 2014 Kaputt is the only album I have on Dead oceans which has SQ that is excellent. The sound is highly dynamic with magnificent tight bass and airy trebles. It proved that Paul Gold’s vinyl cutting is top class. It is nearly or as good as Kevin Morby’s 2019 US Oh My God.

The pressing by Independent Records Pressing could have been top class too in this instance but completely let down by excessive loud random pops and clicks. But the clarity and spacious soundstage are very impressive indeed. I much prefer this EU release to the 2011 US Kaputt on Merge Records, pressed by RTI.
