As far as Dead Ocean recording goes, Kevin Morby’s City music sounded fine. Paul Gold’s mastering has great vitality and good transient response — perhaps he is not such a bad mastering engineer after all. It’s a shame that most of his works were badly pressed by D-grade pressing plant…
Get the Vinyl Me, Please release for superior SQ, as this release does sound somewhat muddy by comparison!
