  1. I don’t know how many time I have seen this album in one of the big chain record shops and I never bought. Probably due to its low price tag and that it is a Sub Pop release. I just didn’t think that this will sound good. $19.90 is so rare for a vinyl record in Australia!

Oh mine how wrong was I!? Considering this album was recorded in Jame Mercer’s basement, this US repress sounded excellent and probably one of the better sounding Sub Pop release you will hear! Great dynamics, wide open and punchy. The mastering is a tad too bright for taste but it is immensely enjoyable and probably suits the style of the music. The bass does go low and sonorous in places. It’s a shame that Side B has quite a bit of sibilance, otherwise it’s a terrific pressing.

Don’t let this pass if you like this fabulous album.
