  1. I bought a copy of this original US pressing when the album was first released in 2011. While it sounded fine, it was somewhat woolly to me. The bass was a little too soft and it sounded a little closed in.

However, not until 2017 I decided to get a copy of the EU pressing. I heard from my friend that the SQ of the MPO pressing is stunning.

However, what looks like an identical US pressing was sent to me, but, to my astonishment, the SQ of the new copy is far superior. Everything looks just the same except the sound! The different was so huge it was unbelievable!

I later finally got a copy of EU pressing. So I compared the SQ of all three pressings of this Ashes & Fire and this is clearly the inferior one. However, it is still a nice sounding release, just not great as it should.
