  1. For the ninth album – Ape In Pink Marble, Devendra Banhart decided to record the entire album at home. Not sure if it is because of this as they were also some field recordings involved, the sound of this is not as clear as his two previous albums the 2009 US Where Will We Be and 2013 US Mala. Which were both close to, if not on reference level.

    The dynamics unfortunately have suffered although it is cut by the legendary Bernie Grundman. The Record Industry pressing is however still an excellent sounding one with some beautiful analogue characters and it is super quiet.
